Quality assurance (QA), standard operating procedures (SOP), safety, and multivendor harmonization

Quality assurance (QA), standard operating procedures (SOP), safety, and multivendor harmonization

Focus

Harmonization of protocols, SOPs and quality assessment is a large, but essential undertaking that is necessary before multi-centre trials can commence. This working aims at standardization across institutions, across vendors and across regulatory bodies, all with respect to the particular implications of 7T imaging. It is in close contact and has joint members with the German Ultrahigh Field Imaging (GUFI) Network and the UK7T Network.

Topics of interest include:

  • Roadmap for implementing harmonized protocols; SOPs; and quality assessment procedures and addressing multivendor differences
  • Common and specific needs for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease
  • Realistic goals for implementing SOPs
  • Safety in clinical studies at 7T
